Ashrama is serving society in the field of spirituality and culture by publishing Kannada books and a monthly Kannada magazine, ‘Viveka Prabha’. Several philanthropic activities are being undertaken under projects like Gadadhara Abhyudaya Prakalpa, Viveka Shikshana, Seva Mandira to serve both the urban and the rural students, Study Centre for students, Library, Meditation classes for all classes of people, spiritual retreats, residential retreats for rural students, rural children education, relief work during natural calamities, etc.

The institution is managed by the monks / sanyasins. Monks are appointed by the Headquarters, Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math. There are various branches in India & abroad, e.g. Mumbai-Khar-W, New Delhi-Pahad Ganj, Aurangabad, Nagpur in India and in the UK, USA, Europe, Australia, Japan, Nepal, etc.
