Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, is glad to announce that the newly built ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಯುವ ಕೇಂದ್ರ – ವಿವೇಕ ಸ್ಮಾರಕ (Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre – Viveka Smaraka) is scheduled to be inaugurated on the 1st of August 2026 by the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Sri Narendra Modi ji, in the Holy presence and with the blessings of parama-pujya Swami Gautamananda ji Maharaj, the President of the world-wide twin-organization, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission.
The highlights of the inaugural programme, planned over two days, are as follows.
Day 1 – 1st August 2026:
- Afternoon around 3.50 pm: inauguration of Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre – Viveka Smaraka by the Hon. Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi ji in the holy presence and with the blessings of param-pujya Swami Gautamananda ji by unveiling a plaque and floral tributes to the statue of Swami Vivekananda,
- Afternoon around 4.30 pm: public meeting at the open stadium of Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala: address by param-pujya Swami Gautamananda ji and the Hon. Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi ji,
- Cultural programme at Viveka Smaraka from 6.30 pm to 8 pm.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- Owing to security restrictions, only a select set of authorized/permitted people will be allowed in the Viveka Smaraka during the inauguration on Day 1. But all may attend the cultural programme at 6.30 pm.
- The general public are welcome to attend the public meeting at the Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala stadium (no pass is required) – they have to enter the campus/stadium before 2 pm.
Day 2: 2nd August 2026:
- 8:30 am onwards puja at the Shiva temple,
- 1st session – 10 am onwards: felicitation of donors and speeches,
- 1 pm to 2.30 pm – break,
- 2nd session – 2.30 pm onwards: felicitation of people and organisations involved in the project followed by speeches,
- Evening 6 pm onwards: Cultural programme.
